The DVIN 50 Appreciation Ceremony took place at The Theatre Art Studio in Moscow on June 26. Organized by MEDIACRAT Event Management and commissioned by ArArAt (a Pernod Ricard brand), the occasion was timed to coincide with the re-launch of the 50% alcohol Dvin brandy and intended to pay tribute to 50 outstanding individuals who have made the most significant contribution to the promotion of Armenian heritage and culture worldwide.

The DVIN 50 Appreciation Ceremony was the culmination of a survey conducted for an entire year among connoisseurs of ArArAt brandies in all major markets. Its goal was to single out 50 prominent people around the world who best represent the philosophy of the legendary Dvin brandy and ArArAt values.

Among the people who were honored at the DVIN 50 Appreciation Ceremony were Ruben Vardanian, David Yang, Alyona Doletskaya, Mikhail Piotrovsky, Roman Balayan, Stas Namin and many others.

“My mother Ripsime was one of the archaeologists who excavated the medieval city of Dvin, my uncle Levon was one of those who created the Armenian brandy and my father was called ‘the son-in-law of the Armenian people’,” said Director of the Hermitage museum and DVIN 50 laureate Mikhail Piotrovsky at the ceremony.

As part of the ceremony, all winners received a bottle of Dvin brandy in a luxury gift box. Ara Grigoryan, Managing Director of the Yerevan Brandy Company, has invited all laureates to Yerevan to participate in installment of their personal barrels of Dvin brandy at the YBC’s Walk of Fame.

The ceremony was hosted by actress Chulpan Khamatova.
