The best representatives of the PBWM industry were announced in the evening of 17 December at Moscow’s Et Cetera Theater.

Today Moscow met the winners of the milestone 10th SPEAR’S Russia Wealth Management Awards 2018 – Russia’s first private banking and wealth management industry award. Ekaterina Skulkina and Dmitry Khrustalev starred as hosts of the ceremony.

Gazprombank Private Banking snatched the ‘best Russian bank for private clients’ nomination, whereas Alfa-Bank managed to hold on to its last year’s title of ‘Russia’s best bank for corporate clients’. Alfa Private was named the best Russian bank of the decade. Citi was awarded the title of the best foreign bank catering for HNWIs, and Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen was honored with the title of the best foreign bank of the decade.

Alfa Capital Management Company was distinguished with yet another award as the best management company for HNWIs. General Invest became the best investment company of the year, whereas QBF was lauded for the best investment strategy. Uralsib was given an award for ‘efficient business model overhaul’.

UFG Wealth Management was chosen the best family office of the year for the second consecutive time. The staff of Sberbank Private Banking was named the best team of the year. Absolut Bank took the ‘Best Client Service’ prize, and Unibank Privé now holds the title for being ‘the Best Private Banking Client Service in the C.I.S’. CONFIDERI Family Office is now the best legal adviser of the year.

Personal awards were given out to Sergey Monin (Raiffeisenbank, ‘Banker of the Year’), Andrey Babiyan (Alfa Capital Wealth, ‘Best Investment Consultant’), Yevgeniya Tyurikova (Sberbank Private Banking, ‘Lady of the Industry’), Gleb Davidyuk (iTech Capital, ‘Gentleman of the Industry’) and Andrey Kosogov (‘Legend of the Industry’). Tokenbox won the special award for ‘Best Application of New Technologies in Capital Management’.

SPEAR'S Russia Wealth Management Awards is an annual award for the best specialists in private banking industry, large capital management and allied industries.

This year the jury included Alexander Gafin, Rietumu Banka supervisory board member, Roman Avdeev, Moscow Credit Bank supervisory board member, Irina Rapoport, General Director of RUSNANO Capital, Pavel Teplukhin, general partner of Matrix Capital, Daria Figurkina, publisher of SPEAR'S Russia, and David Yakobashvili, entrepreneur and private investor. The jury was chaired by Arman Jilavian, managing partner of MEDIACRAT.

The award is organized in Russia by PBWM.ru website and SPEAR'S Russia magazine. PwC served as an independent consulting provider. Official partners of the award are Chivas Regal Ultis, the first blended malt whisky by Chivas Regal, KR Properties, the largest player in Moscow’s commercial real estate market, as well as Group IB and Optima companies.
