BRICS Business Magazine will be represented at the summit of the BRICS heads of state, which will be held in the Brazilian city of Fortaleza on July 15-16. A “Latin American edition” of the magazine is being prepared especially for the event. It will feature a discussion with President of Mexico Enrique Peña Nieto, an interview with famous Peruvian writer and Nobel laureate Mario Vargas Llosa, and other materials that focus on the region.

The new issue of the magazine will be distributed at major international economic forums in the summer and early fall of 2014.

BRICS Business Magazine caters to world opinion leaders, heads of corporations, investors, economists, and political scientists. The magazine is published in two language versions – English and Russian. Its content corresponds to the motto “Bridging Communities. Guiding Investors. Leading Nations.”

According to a study by TNS Russia, the semiannual readership of BOLSHOI Sport magazine has exceeded one million people, reaching 1,062,100 readers. This is a 10% growth over the previous reporting period. The same indicator also showed a positive trend in Moscow, demonstrating an increase of 8.6 percent (to 281,800 people).

The number of readers of one issue of BOLSHOI Sport for the period from December 2013 to April 2014 across the country increased by 8.7 percent, reaching 588,300 people.

The BOLSHOI Sport magazine has been published in Russia since late 2005. In the spring of 2013, Alexei Nemov was appointed the Editor-in-Chief of the publication.

The Board is a collegial body of The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts formed to support and develop the museum. It includes such well-known figures of Russian culture and business as Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky, long-time head of The Pushkin Museum Irina Antonova, the current Director of the Museum Marina Loshak, General Manager of Channel One Konstantin Ernst, co-founder of the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation Irina Prokhorova, heads of Novatek, Rostelecom, Gazprombank, and Vnesheconombank.

Alexei Nemov, Editor-in-Chief of BOLSHOI Sport, four-time Olympic champion, and member of the Laureus World Sports Academy, once again invited his friends – famous Russian and international athletes, as well as members of the athletic, political, and business establishment – to a gala reception “Sochi-Moscow-Rio” held on May 20 at the Vetoshny Art Center. The event was a logical extension of the Friends of BOLSHOI Sport reception, which Alexei Nemov and the BOLSHOI Sport magazine hosted last October, on the eve of the Sochi Olympic Games. The main idea behind “Sochi-Moscow-Rio” was to convey the mood of the Winter Olympic Games winners to those athletes going to the Summer Olympic Games, who have already begun preparing for the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games to be held in 2016. Six months ago in October 2013, during the first event in the Friends of Big Sports series held on the eve of the Sochi Olympics, the hosts Alexei Nemov and Elena Hanga were wishing the Russian Olympians victory in Sochi. And Russia’s triumph at the Olympics surpassed all expectations: the 22nd Winter Olympic Games and Paralympic Games were the most successful in Russia’s history. But now, it’s time to prepare for new challenges: the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro will be held in 2016, and preparations for them have already entered a climactic stage. The “Sochi-Moscow-Rio” event format became a symbolic metaphor for this new stage, when the BOLSHOI Sports honorary awards were handed to the winners of the Sochi Olympics by those athletes who will represent their country in Rio.
